On 22 April 2026, educators joined our online workshop for primary school teachers, “Woher commit der Regenbogen”, held via Zoom from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The event offered participants insights into the science of color and practical ideas for bringing this fascinating topic into the classroom.
The workshop opened with a keynote lecture from our spokesperson Nicolas Vogel, who introduced the scientific principles behind color phenomena and the natural processes that create rainbows. His presentation highlighted how everyday observations can become exciting starting points for science education.
Maja Walter, one of the developer of our teaching materials for elementary school, continued the program with further perspectives on teaching color and light in primary education. Her talk focused on engaging and age-appropriate approaches for young learners.
A special highlight of the afternoon was the live demonstration of child-friendly color experiments at 4:00 p.m. Participants were shown simple and interactive experiments that can easily be recreated in schools, helping children discover the wonders of light, reflection, and color through hands-on learning.
We would like to thank all participants for their enthusiasm and interest. We hope the workshop provided valuable inspiration and practical tools for exploring the colorful world of science with children.
